WORKSHOPS are offered throughout the week at all different times during the day. The Workshops can include up to 20 sewers and must have at least 4 for the Workshop to be held.  See below for details on the Workshops being offered.

 Sewing 101

The goal of this two hour workshop will be to learn how to operate a sewing machine.  This class covers basic sewing tools, winding a bobbin, threading the machine, changing a needle, sewing a straight and zig zag stitch, and making a seam.  We will help the first time sewer enjoy and master a few techniques in sewing.  This workshop must be completed in order to become a member at the MKE Fashion Incubator.

Family Fun Sewing

Spend some fun time with your child, niece or nephew learning to sew and be creative!  During this class you will both make an item to take home, learning basic sewing skills.  No experience necessary.  All materials will be provided.

Price includes one adult and one child.  If you pre-register, you can bring an extra child for an additional $25.00

You can make:  infinity scarf, mini tote, apron, drawstring gym bag, doll blanket, evening/day clutch or a Glove Monster!

Revival Tuesday

Do you have a favorite clothing item you just want to keep?  Let us teach you to extend the life of your clothes and save money by showing you how to repair holes; sew buttons; patch jeans; mend children's clothing, drawstrings and elastic; repair seams and zippers.  Bring along those clothing items or use some items here you can practice on.

Chat and Sew

Join fellow sewers for networking help on your challenging projects. Share your knowledge with each other and in the process get the help you need. There is a small fee of $10/hour to use the machines and space.

Sip and Sew

Bring a friend and join us for a fun night- learning about sewing, testing out your new skills and most importantly, drinking wine and munching on snacks with other fun attendees.  Projects such as clutch purses, infinity scarves, and towel totes change as the seasons do.  All Materials and Machines Included.
